Idris Elba finally wins 'Sexiest Man Alive' but just wants you to vote
Idris Elba has won the weirdly coveted title of People's "Sexiest Man Alive," and took the opportunity to get you to do one thing for him: vote in the midterm elections.
The 46-year-old actor, who we've campaigned hard for in previous years, tweeted his sweet, sweet victory on Monday, taking out the crown formerly worn by Grammy Award-nominee Blake Shelton.
Channelling the same strategy as the likes of Amy Schumer for one, Elba took advantage of a highly public moment to urge Americans to vote in the midterms on Nov. 6.
"I'm honoured & thankful," Elba tweeted. "What’s even more important is your vote in the midterm elections. Your vote can make a difference!"

Elba's sensual new title was announced on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in a short and sweet interview Monday night, in which the new SMA gives a nice shoutout to his mum:
