When Tom Hanks reprises his role as Robert Langdon for the third time in Dan Brown's Inferno, the audience will experience a fast-paced, heart-thumping thriller with the same brain-twisting riddles that the previous movies are known for.

That's what director Ron Howard promises in the latest featurette for the movie. "That's what Langdon is thrust into. There's immediate, real world "right now" danger, and he needs to understand it first before he can even try to stop it."

The movie is set in Florence, Italy, where Langdon wakes up in a hospital room implanted with a device that gives him visions of Dante's Inferno. A mystery person is threatening to unleash a plague upon the city, and Langdon's "symbologist" character needs to solve the riddles set before him in order to stop impending tragedy.

"It's so much about twists and turns, and where people stand. It has everything to do with the moment, because boy, that clock is really ticking in this movie," says Howard.

The film adaptation of Brown's fourth Robert Langdon book will star Felicity Jones alongside Hanks, and features big international names like Bollywood's Irrfan Khan and Omar Sy, who was previously seen in Jurassic World and X-Men: Days of Future Past.
