The next add-on pack for Injustice 2 adds all four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to the DC Comics fighting game. Fans seem pretty happy about that.

The reveal trailer, which also confirms The Atom and Enchantress for the upcoming "Fighter Pack #3," doesn't get into specifics. The four turtles appear to be treated as a single fighter, though how that works in practice remains to be seen.

The Atom will be out in early access -- included with the pre-purchased pack or "Ultimate Edition" versions of Injustice 2 -- on Dec. 12, with the other fighters to be released not long after. The new fighters will be available on all platforms, including the PC version of Injustice 2, out on Nov. 14.

While the TMNT brand is currently in the hands of comic book publisher IDW, the Turtles crossed over for a six-issue Batman story -- which IDW co-published with DC -- that ran in 2016. For all we know, that partnership is what led to this unexpected development for Injustice 2.

Whatever the origins are, people were both surprised and very excited when the reveal dropped on Friday during the Injustice 2 Championship playoffs.

Seriously. Check out these reactions. People are hype. Enjoy an unadulterated dose of happiness from the internet for once.

Hype on, Injustice 2 fans. Your responses to this news are delightful.
