Instagram is a copycat and the internet is not pleased

For shame, Facebook. For shame.

Facebook-owned Instagram announced a huge update to its app on Tuesday, one that happens to be extremely similar to its main competitor, Snapchat.

The update adds Instagram Stories, allowing users to create temporary slideshows separate from their main feed, which will vanish after 24 hours. Sound familiar?

Although there are plenty of differences between Instagram's Stories and Snapchat, some are calling the update a declaration of war, while others are just calling out Facebook for being the rich older brother that steals other peoples' ideas.
