'Instaception' is the coolest new makeup trend on Instagram
Posting your makeup skills on Instagram is cool and all, but can you paint an Instagram post on your face?
Makeup artists are flexing their skills with the Instaception challenge, going all out on one eye, and then painting borders so it looks like a screenshot of an Instagram post.
The trend started with @dom.skii, who first posted the look three weeks ago and captioned it "picture perfect." He framed his eyes with the like, comment, and share icons.
Since then, talented makeup artists have posted their own takes on the Insta-ception trend, like @cakefacerj's wild multi-post look.
Even James Charles joined in, sharing a vibrant rainbow creation with lines so clean, it's hard to believe that it isn't just a screenshot.
To create looks for the Insta-ception trend, makeup artists leave their entire face bare except for the small square where the screenshot would be.
It just proves how much of an art makeup really is.
Of all bizarre makeup trends -- from garden brows to halo foreheads, this is a look that you'd probably want to wear in public because it's just so cool.
