Every year, before Oscar night gets too out of hand, the stars stop by Vanity Fair's portrait studio before proceeding to their revelry or mourning period.

The fashion magazine is teaming up with photographer Mark Seliger and Instagram for the third year in a row to bring the party to the people.

Mashable got the details on what's sure to be another classy photoshoot.

Judy Beckett, production designer of Carol, is joining the team to bring the film's 1950s sophistication to the studio. Rooney Mara's character, Therese, is an aspiring photographer in the film.

"I drew on the color palette from Therese’s world and the elegance of Carol’s world in order to create the perfect environment for this iconic Hollywood event," Beckett said.

Other actors will have a chance to be as poised as Cate Blanchett and Mara, but it's a fool's errand. Only heavenly Lupita holding her trophy comes close.

"Great to continue this tradition with Vanity Fair and Instagram and looking forward to another fun night," said Seliger, who has been shooting magazine and album covers since the 80s.

May this classic Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez moment from 2011 inspire the stars to make more memories this weekend.
