This Chrome extension lets you view Instagram Stories on your computer
Instagram has always maintained that it is a mobile-first platform. And although there is a web interface, it's nowhere near as robust as the app.
Rather than wait for Instagram to roll out a web version for its new Snapchat Stories ripoff Stories, one intrepid developer named Alec Garcia has created a Google Chrome extension to let you view Instagram stories in the browser.
Chrome IG Story is free and, once it's installed, all you have to do is sign into Instagram and then browse to your feed. It may take a few refreshes before the horizontal row of Stories icons show up at the top.

To view a person's Stories, just click on their icon like you'd do in the app and then use the left and right arrow icons to jump between each Snap 'gram (Or is it Insta?)
And that's it. At the time of publishing, the Chrome extension works, but it's entirely possible Instagram could have it removed for violating its APIs.
