Instagram is launching its in-app events channel with an inside look at one of the wildest nights in pop culture -- this Sunday's VMAs -- and a little help from celebrities like Joe Jonas and DJ Khaled.

The channel is part of the app's push toward video, including Stories, which will be curated for the channel. Future events like concerts and sporting events will be recommended based on your Instagram activity.

In addition to gathering the best footage from the app, Instagram will also be providing original content for fans, including footage from its video photo booths on the red carpet and backstage. It's designed by creative directors Marc Jacobs and Dennis Leupold, who envisioned a booth that's "white-walled, with a space capsule theme."
