What if you could combine your golfing knowledge and strategic prowess with the executional skills of one of the top professional golfers in the world?

Someone like, say, six-time Ryder Cup-winner Paul McGinley?

It’d be a great way to learn — and a lot of fun, as well.

And now it’s a reality, thanks to the Ballantine’s Golf Club’s new "Call the Shots" golf video series.

The interactive learning experience allows the viewer to control McGinley’s every shot selection from tee to green to sunken putt.

The object of the game — hosted on the Ballantine’s Golf Club website — is, of course, to guide McGinley to the lowest possible score on the hole you’re playing. You make this happen by guiding his every move.

The series features the opportunity to guide McGinley through a par five, as well as a par four and a par three. The par four and par three are based on a typical challenge golfers are likely to face in real life, like bunkers and water hazards. The videos were filmed at the Dirleton Links course at Archerfield Links Golf Club in Scotland.

"The film is designed to help golfers understand the importance of course management in an innovative and engaging way, in line with the overall approach of the Ballantine’s Golf Club," says McGinley, who took over from Ian Poulter as the Ballantine’s Golf Club Captain in 2015.

Additionally, the Ballantine’s Golf Club is offering one member and a friend the opportunity to test their course management in real life by playing a round of golf with McGinley at his home course, Sunningdale Golf Club. Head to www.ballantinesgolfclub.com to be in with a chance.

The Ballantine’s Golf Club is the world’s first online golf club where members can join a global community of fellow golf enthusiasts. Members can access unique online content, win money can’t buy rewards, and find opportunities to play at some of the most iconic golf courses in the world. And it’s free to join.
