iOS 17.4 beta adds 118 new emoji. The phoenix one is fire.
The iOS 17.4 beta update dropped with 118 new emoji, according to a recent Emojipedia blog post, including two head-shaking emoji that signify yes or no, a fiery phoenix, a lime slice, a mushroom, and a broken chain.
The aforementioned six are, as Emojipedia pointed out, "brand new emoji concepts." However, the remaining emoji build upon already established characters.

"In addition to these new four non-gender-specifying family emojis being introduced, the iOS 17.4 beta also changes all of the existing family emoji designs," Emojipedia said.
In other words, instead of the family emoji set having its current colorful aesthetic, they will now have a white-silhouette-on-gray-background look.

iOS 17.4 is expected to roll out to the wider public some time this spring.
