Here's more proof the next iPhone will have a huge camera bump

That's a big bump.

This year's iPhone will likely have a triple rear camera, located inside a hefty, square bump on the phone's back. We've seen rumors, mock-ups, and case renders indicating the new design, and now, the reliable /LEAKS claims to have CAD images of all three iPhone models coming out this year.

CAD renders, if accurate, are typically sourced off actual product designs that had leaked somewhere along Apple's supply chain. They often give us a very good idea of what the finalized device will look like, though they can also be misleading if they're based on wrong or outdated info.

In this case, however, the CAD images confirm what we've already seen: The iPhone XI and the iPhone XI Max -- the successors to the iPhone XS and XS Max -- will have the bumpy, triple rear camera setup. The iPhone XIR -- the follow-up to the iPhone XR -- will have a similar bump on the back, but it will instead host only two cameras.

All three devices will have a familiar notch on the front, the images show.

Previous rumors indicate that the iPhone XI and XI Max (the final names might be different) will have a 5.8-inch and a 6.5-inch OLED screen, respectively. The iPhone XIR (we really hope that the final name will be different) will have a 6.1-inch LCD screen.

There are also reports that some of the new iPhones might have bi-directional wireless charging, a faster, A13 chip, and -- possibly -- a USB-C port instead of Apple's proprietary Lightning port. The port is visible in the CAD images, but it's hard to discern whether it's of the USB-C or Lightning variety.

The new iPhones are likely to be officially launched in September.
