The 'is this a pigeon' meme is the new 'distracted boyfriend' and it's way too real

No. That's not a pigeon.

Yet another meme has opened a new chapter in its existence. God help us all.

For reference, the "is this a pigeon" meme has been in circulation for a long time. First uploaded in 2011, the meme is taken from season one, episode three of the anime series The Brave Fighter of Sun Fighbird, and shows a character pointing to a butterfly and saying "is this a pigeon?" It has been widely used to designate utter discombobulation.

Now people are taking the meme a step further, adding text à la "distracted boyfriend" for added hilarity.

Keep those wonderful joke-templates coming, internet.
