Behold the pure joy of Issa Rae after her 'Insecure' Golden Globe nomination
It's safe to say that Issa Rae is having a much better time than Issa Dee these days.
Rae scored a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Television Program - Comedy this morning for Insecure and yes, she's appropriately psyched. Yvonne Orji, who plays Issa's BFF on the show, shared some screengrabs of their victorious FaceTime after receiving the great news.
Orji congratulated her friend, who plays Issa Dee, an expert in self-sabotage, with an superbly curated series of hashtags. When we left the fictional Issa at the end of Season 1, she was having a rough time, but the real Issa is currently celebrating.
