Another day, another dose of Brexit-themed mayhem.

Brexit has been a source of intense confusion and uncertainty pretty much since the vote got passed back in 2016, but this week has been manic even by normal standards.

It started on Sunday night, when Brexit Secretary David Davis -- ie. the man specifically appointed to ensure a smooth Brexit -- decided to Brexit himself out of the actual government.

The following day, UK Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson -- another key Brexit player, and someone who originally campaigned for Brexit back in 2016 -- decided to follow suit.

This tweet summed the whole thing up pretty well.

Later on Monday night, Johnson's replacement was announced: Jeremy Hunt, who was previously the Health Secretary.

J.K. Rowling, who has been known to make her feelings about Brexit pretty clear in the past, waded in on Monday. Specifically, she wanted to address the resignations of Johnson and Davis.

That tweet has had around 17,000 retweets and 85,000 favourites.

It didn't take long for someone to get a Harry Potter reference in there, either.

Now that is an evergreen tweet.
