Even when Twitter isn't in the spotlight for, say, Russian trolls or rampant abuse, they just can't stay out of a mess.

This time, it was the man in charge, CEO Jack Dorsey, who caused a kerfuffle by sharing a tweet about receiving a "Boost" from fast food joint Chick-fil-A while using his Cash app to purchase food at the restaurant.

But here's the thing: Dorsey was giving a big shout-out to a fast food company that's now as well-known its anti-same-sex marriage stances as it is for its food. And it also happens to be, well, Pride Month.

None of this escaped the notice of Twitter users who were quick to call out Dorsey.

Eventually, Dorsey caught on after apparently seeing a tweet from journalist Soledad O'Brien.

Dorsey didn't elaborate any further and the tweet is still up, so who knows what (if anything) Dorsey plans on doing as a follow-up. We've reached out to both Twitter and Chick-fil-A for further comment on the matter.

In the meantime, here's hoping maybe Jack just opts for a PB&J next time and settles in with one of these great books to read during Pride Month.
