Nikolaj Coster-Waldau thinks Jaime is doomed to become a wight on 'Game of Thrones'

Will Jaime the wight still need a fake hand?

Game of Thrones has always loved killing your faves, but as the final season approaches we may have to deal with something more disturbing: Our faves getting turned into ice zombies. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime, has this concern at the top of his mind, and he's terrified.

“I really don’t want to have a scene with all those White Walkers because they’re going to turn—I don’t know. I would hate to turn into one of those,” he told InStyle in a recent interview.

For the most part, it sounds like Coster-Waldau doesn't want to add time to his day.

“You would think that some of the main characters will end up as one of them, and you really don’t want to," he said. "I would hate that. That would suck so much. That means like three hours in the makeup chair. You get in at 4 in the morning to sit in makeup.”

Jaime as a wight is interesting to think of. Does Cersei go through with her finale threat and have the Mountain kill him, only with the war against the dead raging close enough to home that Jaime gets turned? And with all this talk of Jaime as the prince who was promised and the prime candidate to kill Cersei -- who's to say he won't kill her when he himself is already dead?

The actor was afraid to even discuss his fear in case the all-powerful show runners found out and used it against him.

“Just talking about it makes me go, ‘Oh, well they’re going to do it now,’” he said.

Buddy, we're as nervous as you are.
