Lordy, James Comey has delivered the most epic "Quote of the Day" during his testimony to the Senate Intelligence Committee about his interactions with President Trump.

When discussing a conversation he had with Trump— in which the president allegedly advised Comey to "let go" of former United States National Security Advisor Mike Flynn — Comey referenced one of Trump's infamous Twitter tirades.

Back in May, President Trump wrote Comey better hope there are no "tapes" of their conversations, suggesting they would reflect poorly on Comey.

To this, Comey simply testified, "Look, I've seen the tweet about tapes. Lordy, I hope there are tapes."

Same, Comey. Same.

After all of America simultaneously burst out into giggle fit at the former FBI Director so casually using the word "lordy," confused people across the world praised and joked about Comey's quote on Twitter.

And of course, in case you wanted to brush up on the official definition of "lordy," Merriam-Webster has got you covered.

And no, America ... Comey was not referring to the "pee tapes."

Oh lordy, is it 2020 yet?
