James Franco called up Tommy Wiseau while accepting his Golden Globe for Best Actor. Here's what happened next.

Well, Tommy Wiseau finally made it to the Golden Globes stage.

Unfortunately, his moment didn't go exactly as planned.

When James Franco went up to accept his Best Actor in Musical or Comedy award for The Disaster Artist, he brought two of his collaborators up with him. His brother and co-star, Dave Franco, walked up to the stage with him.

Wiseau followed shortly after, and immediately tried to take over. Franco wasn't having it. And a magical gif was born.

Like so much else involving Wiseau, the moment managed to be cringe-inducing, hilarious, and a little endearing all at once. Also like Wiseau, it raised so many questions.

What was he going to say?? What would have happened if Franco had let him talk? Is there a parallel universe where Wiseau succeeded in grabbing the mic, and if so, what's it like over there?
