Jamie Lynn Spears says she's 'not just someone's sister' in new TLC special
Jamie Lynn Spears is setting the record straight in her upcoming TLC special, Jamie Lynn Spears: When the Lights Go Out.
"This is my story like you've never heard before," she says in a preview. "I'm not just a child star, and I'm not just someone's sister, and I'm not just a teen mom."
The hourlong special, which will air on TLC on June 26, will tell the "real story" about her pregnancy at age 16 — when she was still the star of Nickelodeon's Zoey 101 — and what's happened since then.

The 25-year-old country singer will also premiere her new single, "Sleepover," on the same day, according to Rolling Stone.
"When I had my little girl, I really figured what I wanted to do with the rest of my life and what kind of legacy I want to leave behind," she told Rolling Stone. "That’s when I started writing music, and I didn’t do anything for almost five years. I was just writing, figuring out who I was as an artist."
