No matter how you feel about Elon Musk, it's hard to deny that Starlink has changed the game for getting online (no matter where you are). Whether you're working from a van or just want Netflix at a remote campsite, this backpack-sized kit is a serious upgrade from trying to find a single bar of 5G.

As of Jan. 21, the Starlink Mini Kit AC Dual Band WiFi System is on sale for $199.99 at Best Buy, down from $499.99. That's a 60% discount or $300 in savings. You can also save an additional 15% (plus 15% off Geek Squad Home Wi-Fi Setup) when you bring in an old router or modem/router combo for recycling.

The "Mini" lives up to its name: It's compact enough to fit in a backpack, yet delivers max speeds over 100 Mbps and features an integrated WiFi 5 router, so you don't need to haul extra gear to get a signal. Plus, it's designed to be plug-and-play. Just set it up with a clear view of the sky, plug it in, and you’re online in minutes.

Just keep in mind that while the hardware is yours, a service plan is required to actually connect, though there are no long-term contracts to lock you in.
