This is not a drill: Jane Fonda has officially joined TikTok.

On Thursday night, the 82-year-old actress and activist posted her first video to the app TikTok and announced that she would be reviving her legendary home workouts to help people stay active during this period of coronavirus "home sequestration."

In the TikTok, Fonda can be seen lying on an exercise mat in her home and performing a few leg lifts for followers. If you keep watching, however, it becomes clear that physical fitness isn't the only reason she downloaded the app.

In the next frame, Fonda is seen wearing the signature red coat that she sports at all of her Fire Drill Friday climate change protests on Capitol Hill.

"You know what? There are too many workouts happening right now on television and on computers," Fonda says. "What I really would like you to do is to work out with me for the planet. There's a climate crisis that's a real emergency and so whether you're on your couch or your yoga mat, will you join me for virtual Fire Drill Fridays?"

"The future needs you," Fonda continued. "I need you."

Fonda started her weekly Fire Drill Friday protests back in October 2019 and has had a variety of climate experts and celebrity activists join her to protest and even get arrested on Capitol Hill. She ended her D.C. protests in January, but has had occasional Fire Drill Friday events in Los Angeles over the past few months.

It appears Fonda will now attempt to keep the Fire Drill Friday momentum going online. Though the launch of the first virtual event didn't quite go as planned Fonda announced the entire rally will be posted online later today.

We have no doubt that Fonda will continue to deliver amazing content on TikTok, and when you're not doing your in-home workouts you should take her advice and help "save the mf planet."
