Janet Waldo, original voice of Judy Jetson on 'The Jetsons,' dies at 96
Janet Waldo, best known for voicing Judy Jetson on the animated cartoon The Jetsons, has died. She was 96.
Waldo's daughter confirmed her mother's passing to ABC News.
Waldo got her start as an actress with roles on shows like I Love Lucy and The Andy Griffith Show, but it was her work in the world of voice acting that took her to new heights. During the span of her five-decade career, she voiced roles on The Flintstones, Wacky Races, and The Smurfs.

Her most recognized role, however, remained that of Judy Jetson, the teenage daughter of George on the animated show about a space-dwelling family. Waldo did 71 episodes of the animated show, which ran from 1962-87, and also voiced the character in the movie.
Waldo's final credit was on the Wacky Races video game back in 2000.
According to her daughter, Waldo had been diagnosed with a benign but inoperable brain tumor five years ago. She died Sunday.
