Japan sets off Pokémon fireworks to welcome summer, we're in awe
Fireworks -- who doesn't love them? Especially if they come in the shape and colours of a Poké Ball.
To welcome the summer season, Japan holds annual fireworks shows and every year, the spectacular displays draw in crowds in the hundreds of thousands without fail.
This year's show was no different, but thanks to Pokémon Go fever, we couldn't help but notice the tribute the show's organisers threw in.

According to Kotaku, Japan -- where Pokémon originally hails from -- has had Pokémon fireworks since 2011, but it was only after the augmented reality game launched in Japan in late July that the displays are gaining traction online.
While we can't transport ourselves to Japan physically to witness the amazing displays of Poké Balls, we'll just have to settle with staring at people's pics to feed our Pokémon Go obsession.
