Japanese toy catcher fails terribly to swipe prize

It fell apart under the pressure.

Toy catching stations in arcades are notoriously difficult to control. That's what makes victory so sweet when you somehow manage to scoop up a prize with the machines' flimsy little pincers.

A user in Japan was witness to exactly how flimsy those mechanical arms can be. While attempting to pick up a toy, it quite literally fell apart.

While pressed to the bottom plate, it lost an arm before the other fell off moments later.

Based on the laughter coming after a few moments of stunned silence in the video, it's clear that there were no hard feelings from the users in this often frustrating game.
