It's been a few years since Jay-Z and Solange were famously caught on security camera fighting in the elevator upon leaving The Met gala afterparty at The Standard hotel. That night has arguably spawned some of the greatest albums from Beyoncé and Solange, and is even addressed in Jay-Z's blistering project 4:44.

Despite the confusion that surrounded the promotion of 4:44, Jay's explained that the incredibly honest title track was inspired by revelations he realized at 4:44 a.m. But Twitter user @StephenOssola was at the scene of the action on Tuesday, three years after the incident, and spotted an unusual coincidence.

"I'm at The Standard where Solange beat Jay-Z's ass in the elevator. THE ADDRESS IS 444. I AM SHOOK," Stephen tweeted.

If you search The Standard on Google Maps, you'll find that the actual address to the hotel is "848 Washington St." But according to their website, the rooftop bar and penthouse dance space affiliated with the hotel is called "Le Bain,"—and that address is 444 West 13th Street.

Because it was an afterparty, it makes sense that Solange, Beyoncé and Jay-Z would have been celebrating there. According to his own words, however, it was just the time he woke up and penned the powerful apology to Beyoncé regarding alleged adultery.

“‘4:44' is a song that I wrote, and it’s the crux of the album, just right in the middle of the album. And I woke up, literally, at 4:44 in the morning, 4:44 a.m., to write this song," he told iHeartRadio. "So it became the title of the album and everything. It’s the title track because it’s such a powerful song, and I just believe one of the best songs I’ve ever written.”

Jay-Z is a clever dude, so either this is an intentional decision just not disclosed to fans or just one of the craziest happenstance—particularly because the number '4' has significance in the Knowles-Carter world. Both Beyoncé and Jay were born on the fourth of their respective months, married on April 4, 2008 (eight divided by two is, you guessed it, four), and named their daughter Blue Ivy—Ivy also being 'IV,' the roman numeral for four, which they also have tattooed on their ring fingers.

Coincidence? We think not.
