Jennifer Aniston will play America's first gay female president and we've never felt so patriotic
Jennifer Aniston will play the U.S. President in Netflix's upcoming First Ladies, co-starring comedian Tig Notaro as her wife. Notaro and Stephanie Allynne wrote the script.
"First Ladies is a political comedy about America’s first female President and her wife, The First Lady," Netflix wrote in a press release. "When Beverly and Kasey Nicholson move into the White House, they’ll prove that behind every great woman... is another great woman."
Everything about this sounds too good to be true, and a lovely way to imagine a country ready for both a female and openly gay leader.
Notaro is also directing Ellen DeGeneres' comedy special, and her own Tig Notaro Happy to Be Here will be available to stream May 22.
First Ladies does not yet have a release date.
