Non-awkward human Alex Trebek talks sex on 'Jeopardy!'

During her contestant interview with host Alex Trebek, Miles, a doctoral candidate at Yale University, shared a bit of info about her upcoming tentative dissertation titled "Changing Lives, Changed Men?: Heterosexual Masculinity in Postmainstream Japan."
"I think the media gets a lot wrong about Japanese men-- it's very negative, I find," she said.
"Give me one, just one, point about it," Trebek said.
"I think there's a lot of claims going around that Japanese men don't have sex, and... [laughs] Am I allowed to say that?" she said, before Trebek urged her on with an emphatic, "Yes! I'm all ears now."
She continued: "Because, I mean, I wasn't doing that kind of research, but I found, you know, it depends on how we define sex. You have to read the dissertation, Alex."
"Okay, it always comes around to that, doesn't it?" Trebek said before moving on to the next contestant.
As Twitter user @emjay_probably put it, the awkward element of this exchange was not the topic of Miles' research, but the unsavory combo of Trebek and sex chat.
