The internet has a lot to say about the 'Stay Woke' category on 'Jeopardy!'

The show took the phrase very literally.

Rest in peace, "stay woke." You had a good run.

Yes, Jeopardy! featured a "Stay Woke" category on Friday night's show, but it gets weirder: the category was literally about sleep issues and stimulants.

We can always count on Jeopardy! for a slew of powerful dad vibes, but this is truly next level. For example, consider that Alex Trebek said "stay woke" numerous times throughout the broadcast while wearing a hockey jersey. (Trebek is Canadian and was celebrating Canada Day.)

Now that is a sensory experience made to last.

And the internet had some thoughts -- both positive and negative. Some people mourned the death of "stay woke." Others thought the category was genuinely cool. Some people were just confused.

Let's count our blessings, though. As one astute Twitter-er pointed out: "It could be worse. It could be 'Woke AF'."
