J.K. Rowling tweets teary reaction to fan's 'Harry Potter' tattoo

Hands up if you shed a tear at the romantic gestures of strangers on the internet. Yep, same.

And, turns out even the likes of J.K. Rowling aren't immune to shedding the odd tear over a bit of romance. Especially when the gesture happens to be inspired by Harry Potter.

Rowling shared a photo of a fan and their bride-to-be posing with Harry Potter ring tattoos in their house colours.

Rowling was moved by the gesture and tweeted, "some things catch you hard in your emotions when you're least expecting it.

"This did, for me," she added. "From a slightly teary author, be happy, #always."

Here's a look at the two tattoos next to one another.
