Donald Trump kicked off Tuesday with some unhinged tweets and finished the day by devolving into a racist tire fire on national television and JK Rowling was there to make sense of it all.

Besides saying the removal of Confederate statues was "changing history, you're changing culture," and comparing Robert E. Lee to George Washington, Trump tried to equate the alt-right with progressive protesters, saying the "alt left" was partly to blame for the Charlottesville violence.

In the moments after Trump stormed off and America was left reeling from another gut punch to its psyche, Harry Potter author and frequent Trump critic JK Rowling dropped a giant truth bomb in less than 140 characters.

Rowling sums it up nicely.

There is no in-between now for Trump.

With the delicacy of a drunk in church, Trump claimed to condemn neo-Nazis and the KKK while also saying that there were plenty of "very fine people" in the group of white men who came together in Charlottesville to scream, "Jews will not replace us."

You know, the ones who paraded around with torches.

He's clear with where he stands and, as Rowling points out, we know the same about those who continue to defend him.
