J.R. Smith gives perfect Father’s Day gift to his dad with tearful post-game speech
The Cleveland Cavaliers won the NBA Finals on Sunday night, ending the city of Cleveland's 52-year championship drought and offering an emotional release for not just the fans, but the Cavs themselves.
Among them was J.R. Smith, already relishing his daughter's amazing vote of confidence from earlier this week. In an emotional post-game press conference, Smith talked about the dedication and love he felt from his parents growing up.
And, it being Father's Day, Smith concluded the presser by walking off the stage and embracing his father who was standing just off to the side.
