It's the mistake that deserves a meme.
With seconds on the clock, J.R. Smith of the Cleveland Cavaliers attempted to waste time at the end of regulation time of Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night.
That's despite both teams being tied at the end of the game, leading to overtime in which the Warriors eventually won 124-114.
