As of July 28, the Dreame Pocket hair dryer is on sale at Amazon for just $89.98, marked down from the normal price of $129.99. That's a 31% discount that takes $40.01 off the price. It also matches the record-low at Amazon.
With a super compact size and included carrying case, the Dreame Pocket is a a must-have for those who travel often. On Mashable's roundup of the best Dyson Supersonic dupes, Lead Shopping Reporter Bethany Allard named the the Dreame Pocket as the must-have for those who also want a Dyson Airwrap. That's correct — the Dreame combines two Dyson hair dryers at a fraction of the cost.
"As the midpoint between the Supersonic and Airwrap, the Dreame Pocket does sacrifice a bit from both designs, but it makes an excellent fit for someone who wants to blend the best of both words," Allard wrote in the review. It uses the same Coanda technology that Dyson uses in the Airwrap, which is the element that "grabs" hair and wraps it around the curling barrel.
Allard also commends the Dreame Pocket's travel-friendliness. "For folks who are short on space or travel a lot, this is the most compact hair dryer I've ever tested — and the included carrying case makes it even easier to store," she wrote. Plus, it weighs just 0.66 pounds, so it's unlikely to tip your luggage over the allowed weight.
However, the small size doesn't mean it skimps on performance. Allard found it to dry her hair is just over 15 minutes, which was just a minute or two more than when using the Dyson Supersonic.
