The 15-inch M4 MacBook Air is down to a new record-low price
Save $200: As of July 28, the 15-inch Apple MacBook Air (M4, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD) is on sale at Amazon for just $999. That 17% discount marks a new best price ever for the laptop, which is $1,199 at full price.
It's a great day to be a person in the market for a MacBook Air.
We just saw the 13-inch Air drop below $800 for the first time ever, but it looks like Amazon didn't want to leave its larger counterpart out. As of July 28, Amazon has the 15-inch M4 Apple MacBook Air with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage down to $999 — $200 cheaper than its regular $1,199, and the lowest price on this laptop to date.
Even at its full price, Mashable's Stan Schroeder called this laptop, "a really good deal" in his review, thanks to it being "impressively powerful." It's easy to see why — Apple's M4 chip is the latest and best from the brand (exempting the upgraded M4 variants found on the Pro models). While you might find the built-in storage of 256GB restrictive down the line, this power combined with the larger display real estate makes this is a great laptop for multi-tasking, multimedia editing, and pretty much most daily tasks.
It does top out at a 60Hz refresh rate like previous Airs, and can get hot under heavy processing mode due to its passive cooling (which keeps it quiet), so if you need something a bit more supercharged for tasks like intensive video editing, we recommend going with the Pro instead. However, for most folks that don't have a specific need for a Pro, the Air is a workhorse, even with its flaws, which is why we recommend it as our favorite MacBook overall.
Plus, it offers support for two external display alongside its own display and a 12 megapixel camera. And for all it offers, its still relatively portable at just 3.3 pounds. At the time of writing, you can grab this deal on all four of this laptop's available colorways.
