MAX FREE TRIAL: As of June 14th, new customers are eligible for a limited-time free trial of Max. This offer expires on June 23.

Whether you love to hate-watch And Just Like That (AJLT) or you’ve been waiting with bated breath for the newest season of House of the Dragon (see the premiere June 16), you can do both this month with a limited-time free trial from HBO’s Max streaming service.

Formerly known as HBO Max (still not entirely sure why the company dropped the iconic “Home Box Office” from its name), new customers now have the chance to snag a free seven-day trial of any streaming plan, including the Ultimate Ad-Free plan, which is $20.99 per month. Once your week is up, your preferred payment method will be automatically charged for the subscription tier you selected (unless you cancel before the trial period is up).

Current Max plans and prices:

  • With Ads - $9.99/month or $99.99/year (16% savings)

  • Ad-Free - $15.99/month or $149.99/year (over 20% savings)

  • Ultimate Ad-Free - $19.99/month or $199.99/year (over 16% savings)

That's right — for a full week, you can have unfettered access to HBO's incredible library of hit shows, blockbuster movies, and even the latest same-day theatrical releases without paying a single cent. But you’d better sign up before June 23 because, after that, the company’s nixing the free trial offer.
