Amber Heard makes a splash with first photo in 'Justice League' costume

LOS ANGELES -- Warner Bros. has released the first photo of Justice League star Amber Heard in costume as Mera, the Queen of Atlantis.

Zack Snyder is directing the superhero epic, which stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller as the Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg and Jason Momoa as Aquaman. The latter character will soon get his own movie directed by James Wan, and Heard will reprise her role as Momoa's love interest.

The official image of Heard, along with two pieces of concept art, debuted on IGN on Wednesday.

Michael Wilkinson is the costume designer on Justice League, which opens Nov. 17, 2017. Let's just hope it's better than Suicide Squad and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
