Instead of galavanting with Blue Ivy Carter at this year's Grammy Awards, Justin Bieber hopped on Instagram live to answer questions during Sunday night's broadcast.

While driving around, the singer read through comments—stopping at an innocuous question about his favorite song at the moment, and Bieber's response is as petty as can be.

After reading the question, Bieber pauses shortly before responding with "'Starboy' by The Weeknd."

At first, everything seems normal because, well, it's a great song that many people enjoy. But then Bieber lets out a maniacal cackle and it all makes sense.

Of course he's joking.

The Weeknd, née Abel Tesfaye, is rumored to be dating Selena Gomez—who was in a long on-and-off relationship with Bieber, effectively throwing shade at their relationship.

"Oh shit, that was funny. That was too funny," he said.

This isn't the first time he's made a jab at Tesfaye. In January, Bieber was not afraid to straight up call Tesfaye's music "wack" to TMZ cameras. The Weeknd, on the other hand, hasn't publicly said anything about his bae's ex.

We'll see if this changes anything.
