On the eve of the G20 summit in Hamburg, everyone's favorite handsome Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made a quick stop on Thursday to chill with, who else?, Coldplay.

Trudeau introduced the band at the Global Citizen Festival, a free event that raises awareness for issues related to global poverty. Coldplay and other artists — including Shakira, Pharrell Williams, and Ellie Goulding — performed for fans.

Before welcoming Coldplay to the stage, Trudeau and his wife Sophie made a statement on the importance of empowering women and girls in the fight for fairness and equality.

"Because the really big issues we face, like climate change, poverty, and disease, affect women and girls more than anyone else," said Sophie.

The pair plugged their newly introduced Feminist International Assistance Policy, which invests in women's organizations and puts women at the center of fighting these issues.

Trudeau smoothly transitioned from the speech to his introduction of Coldplay and Chris Martin, who has been the event's main patron.

Because everyone loves a good Trudeau-being-cool moment, people on Twitter showed their love for Trudeau and Coldplay, but mainly for Trudeau.

Yeah, Trudeau! Girl power!
