Kanye West talked more about a potential bid for president in 2020, and we're still not sure whether he's serious or not.

While talking to BBC's Annie Mac on Monday, where he announced that his next single off The Life of Pablo would be "Fade," West clarified -- well, sort of -- what he meant when he said he was running for president at the 2015 VMAs.

After lamenting our tendencies to turn a blind eye to the world's most pressing issues -- "We are numb, we’re numb to 500 kids getting killed in Chicago a year, we’re numb to the fact that it was seven police shootings in the beginning of July," he said -- West talked to Mac about his political ambitions.

"When I talk about the idea of being president, I’m not saying I have any political views. I don't have views on politics," he said. "I just have a view on humanity, on people, on the truth. It there's anything that I can do with my time and my day, to somehow make a difference while I'm alive I’m going to try to do it. Period."

Elsewhere in the interview, Kanye also talked about what it feels like when someone questions what he's capable of, comparing himself once again to one of the greatest artists who ever lived.

“That’s like telling Michelangelo, I know you did this dope angel. That was really good, but, Michelangelo, I don’t think you could paint a cow.”
