The Prodigy frontman Keith Flint dies aged 49
Keith Flint, vocalist of electronic act The Prodigy, has been found dead in his home in the UK, multiple outlets reported. He was 49 years old.
An Essex police spokesman confirmed that a 49-year-old had died in Essex, The Guardian reported Monday. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
The news has been confirmed by The Prodigy's official Twitter account. "It is with deepest shock and sadness that we can confirm the death of our brother and best friend Keith Flint. A true pioneer, innovator and legend. He will be forever missed. We thank you for respecting the privacy of all concerned at this time," the tweet reads.

Writing on the band's Instagram account, Flint's bandmate Liam Howlett said that Flint took his own life. "I'm shell shocked," he said in the post.
The Prodigy were one of the most popular dance/electronic groups of the nineties, with Flint often being regarded as the frontman of the band.
Flint, who was originally a dancer for the band, became more prominent after the release of the band's third album, Fat of the Land, where he contributed vocals to hit songs Firestarter and Breathe.
The band had a scheduled 2019 tour in the U.S. and Europe.
