Kelly and Michael are parting ways, and there's nothing TV viewers -- or even a Daytime Emmy -- can do to fix it.

Mere weeks before Michael Strahan heads to Good Morning America, his current talk show, Live! With Kelly and Michael, received a big award -- like a plea from the TV Academy for Ripa and Strahan to stay together.

The award for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host was accepted on the duo's behalf by Dr. Oz at the May 1 ceremony. Neither host commented on the win via social media, though someone at ABC thought it worthy of a cursory tweet:

Strahan's move to another daytime talk show on the same network raised eyebrows. More than anything, though, it apparently blindsided Ripa, who took a temporary leave from work after she heard Strahan was leaving.

"I am thrilled for Michael," Ripa said upon returning to the show. "This is a tremendous opportunity. I couldn't be — and we couldn't be — prouder of you and everything we've accomplished here."

Add an Emmy to that list.

The duo continue to host Live! With Kelly and Michael until May 13.
