Kesha to appear on ABC's 'Nashville'

While Kesha's music career is temporarily on hold due to her ongoing legal battle with longtime producer Dr. Luke, her acting career is continuing to pick up steam. The pop singer is set to appear on ABC's Nashville when it returns for the second half of its fourth season. 

Country singers Kelsea Ballerini and Thomas Rhett will also appear. Each of them are slated for one-episode appearances, and will play themselves. Ballerini and Rhett will both perform one of their hits.

Kesha previously appeared on Jane the Virgin as Jane's neighbor and a "20something wannabe rockstar." She also appeared in the film adaptation of Jem and the Holograms. 

Nashville returns Wednesday at 10 p.m. on ABC.
