Several people have come forward to accuse Kevin Spacey of sexual harassment after the initial allegation by Star Trek: Discovery star Anthony Rapp.

Spacey's representative released a short statement to Mashable in response to the growing pressure on the House of Cards star.

"Kevin Spacey is taking the time necessary to seek evaluation and treatment. No other information is available at this time," the rep said.

It comes after Mexican actor Roberto Cavazos detailed in a Facebook post how Spacey tried to fondle him against his will at the bar of London's Old Vic Theatre.

“There are many of us who have a 'Kevin Spacey story'. It seems the only requirement was to be a male under the age of 30 for Mr Spacey to feel free to touch us,” he wrote. "It was so common that it became a local joke (of very bad taste)."

"I didn't stand for it, but I know some people who were too scared to stop it," Cavazos said.

U.S. filmmaker Tony Montana told Radar Online that Spacey groped him at the Coronet Bar in L.A., back in 2003.

A British man named Daniel Beal told The Sun Spacey exposed himself to him in 2010, when he was working at a hotel in West Sussex.

Another man, who remained anonymous, went on BBC's Victoria Derbyshire programme to say he woke up fully clothed to find Spacey lying on him.

The Guardian collected several other stories of inappropriate sexual behaviour that the Hollywood star allegedly committed during his 11-year tenure as artistic director of the Old Vic in London.
