The kid in question is five-year-old Summer Gidden of Spring, Texas, who got a bit going too close to this mother goose's goslings.
As her sister Stevie Gidden told BuzzFeed News, though the goose caught up with Summer, a neighbor was on hand to rescue her.
The neighbor's husband managed to snap a few photos just before his wife pulled Summer away.
Stevie's tweet from May 1 now has more than 46,000 retweets and 60,000 likes.
And as for Summer, she's doing totally fine and is loving the attention, judging by her appearance on Houston's local KHOU news:
