Kid Cudi is joining 'Empire' as Hakeem's rival
He'll play Gram, a rival rapper, in a recurring role.

Kid Cudi is entering the Lyon's den.
The multi-hyphenate performer born Scott Mescudi has signed on to Season 3 of Empire as a rival of Hakeem Lyon (Bryshere Gray), the troublemaker younger brother of the Lyon empire.
He'll have a recurring role as Gram, a rapper who is not only a musical enemy, but a personal one as well, as he is dating Hakeem’s ex, Tiana (Serayah McNeill).
