This mom dressed her kids up as AirPods for Halloween, and yes, it's as adorable as it sounds

A very techy Halloween.

Did a couple of scare-pods knock on your door Halloween night asking for candy? If so, they probably belonged to TV personality and host of Facebook Watch show "New Mom, Who Dis?", Jessi Cruickshank, who dressed her twin 2-year-olds up as homemade AirPods this year.

AirPods are expensive enough as it is, but when you have to raise them, feed them, and then send them to college, that's an entirely different ballgame. They might not be able to play Beyoncé, but we bet they do a killer rendition of the ABCs.

"As a kid, my parents always encouraged us to make our costumes..." Cruickshank said. "So... it’s in my DNA to make my own (and now my kids’) costumes! I sewed and painted and cut and designed them and then my local tailor Luis helped me to sew the foam heads."

AirPods costumes are a bit unconventional, to say the least, and it's not outlandish to think they'd get some peculiar reactions.

"...when their preschool teacher asked them what they were dressing up as earlier this week they yelled AIRPODS! And everyone looked at me like, um... EXCUSE ME?!" Cruickshank said. "No one thought I could pull it off."

Cruickshank shared her adorable AirPods with the world on Twitter and Instagram, and of course, the internet loved them.

They also drew some eerie comparisons to Princess Mononoke.

Cruickshank also caught the attention of Apple CEO Tim Cook, who looked to be pretty impressed. Cruickshank responded how we all would.

"Honestly, my only goal was for them to wear the damn costume long enough to take a picture so that was a huge cherry, excuse me- apple- on top," Cruickshank said. As of this posting, she is still waiting for her lifetime supply of AirPods.
