The children have spoken and if history is any indicator, they may have predicted our next president.

In the Nickelodeon "Kids Pick the President" poll, Hillary Clinton won with 53 percent of the vote. Donald Trump came in with 36 percent and third-party candidate Gary Johnson picked up 11 percent of the votes.

More than 905,000 children participated in the online poll that ran from Oct. 28 through Saturday.

Nickelodeon's informal and non-scientific poll has been asking kids to choose the next president since 1988. Out of the past seven presidential elections, the kids correctly chose the president six times.

That's not too shabby -- the only year their prognosticating skills were off was 2004 in the John Kerry-George W. Bush showdown.
