Somehow, Hugh Hefner's death has brought back together Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton

There's nothing like the death of a revolutionary and problematic fave to bring back together a friendship.

Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton were the it-girls and BFFs of the early 2000s (remember when Paris made Kim clean her closet?), and while they have had a fraught relationship in recent years, Kardashian mentioned on Twitter that the death of Hugh Hefner has got them reminiscing.

"RIP to the legendary Hugh Hefner! I'm so honored to have been a part of the Playboy team!," Kim tweeted early this morning. "You will be greatly missed."

Shortly after that, she tweeted about how her and Paris were texting all about the late-publisher's legacy.

"Paris and I are reminiscing about the Playboy parties at the mansion and how much we love Hef. She texts me the perfect Hef emojis," she said.

Yep, you saw that right: nine dancing twin emojis with an old white man smack in the middle. Kardashian posted it again for anyone who missed it.

Look familiar?

The photograph is a recreation of a picture originally taken in the 1960's, with ten of the new London Bunnies. Mr Hefner is back in the UK to mark the launch of the new Playboy Club in Mayfair, which opens on June 4. The clubs opening will welcome back the iconic Playboy Bunny to Londonafter a 30 year absence. Famous Bunnies have included Debbie Harry and Lauren Hutton. If the reunion between the reality television luminaries is Hefner's legacy, I think it's safe to say we're all here for it.
