The new bar for determining how good of a friend you are is whether or not you'd trade pants with them.

This system was determined after Andrew Nguyen traded pants with his friend Danielle Le so that she could borrow his sweatpants to take a lab quiz.

As Nguyen told Buzzfeed, Le "was studying really hard for this exam and I was just doing my other homework."

Le needed to borrow a pair of pants in order to comply with the lab's safety policies, but she couldn't find anyone in the library who had an extra pair.

So, Nguyen stepped up and traded pants with Le. As she took her exam, he just hung around in the bathroom.

Replies to the tweet featured an outpouring of support for Nguyen for being such a good friend.

If you don't have a friend like Nguyen, take your lab exam first, but then go find one.
