5-year-old boy finds meth in Kinder Surprise egg
A young boy has found an unexpected surprise inside a Kinder egg: white powder methamphetamine, police reported.
The boy, aged five, was playing with his eight-year-old brother in the Drumachose area of Limavady, Northern Ireland, when he opened the yellow plastic shell and found the powder inside a bag, instead of a toy.
Luckily, the boy immediately handed the bag to his dad, who alerted police.

“The contents of the bag, which was found inside a toy egg, is believed to be meth amphetamine. This small quantity of drugs will be disposed of by police," Inspector Colin Shaw said.
“This incident is of the uppermost concern for all of us. Tackling the use and supply of illegal drugs is a priority for us and the possibility that something so potentially dangerous has been discarded where children could find it is deeply concerning," he said.
Local DUP councillor Alan Robinson said it was luck the child did not swallow the contents of the egg:
By the grace of God the item was passed to the children's father who alerted the police.
As a father of a child, I know how enticing Kinder eggs and their contents are to children.
In this instance the children are to be commended for passing the contents to their parents.
